Fayetteville High School’s Lady Tigers picked up the program’s first district tournament win last week. The ladies hosted Forrest for a play-in-game that took two days to complete. When the smoke cleared, FHS had the win, 4-3.
The game got underway on Tuesday. Erin Bradford scored two goals in the first half, and the Lady Tigers were up 2-0 at the break. But, the Lady Rockets knotted it at 2-2 in the second frame. With the score still tied, it was determined by officials and coaches it was too dark to continue with 6 minutes remaining in regulation.
Forrest returned to Don Davidson Park on Wednesday to complete the game. As the 6 minutes of regulation came to a close, it was still tied at 2-2.
