Lincoln County High School’s Lady Falcons stayed alive in district tournament action with a play-in game win at home over Columbia Tuesday night, 44-33, but the ladies’ season came to an end Friday night in Columbia, going down to Franklin County, 56-27.

The young Lady Falcon team wraps up its season with a 6-19 overall record.

In other girls’ District 8-AAA tournament action, Tullahoma defeated Lawrence County, 59-56; Coffee County defeated Tullahoma, 57-37; and Shelbyville won over Franklin County, 59-44. This week on Monday night, Tullahoma takes on Franklin County in the consolation game, and Coffee County meets Shelbyville for the championship.

In Tuesday’s match-up with Columbia, the ladies were without senior Brianna Faulkner, sidelined with the flu. LCHS trailed 11-6 at the end of one but put together a big second period, taking the eight minutes, 24-6, up 30-17 at the break.
