Lincoln County High School’s Lady Falcons should be in the mix for a district title this spring. Though still considered a young team, the ladies lost only one senior to graduation, bringing experience at every position this season.
Last year, the Lady Falcons finished with a 20-16 overall record, while going down to Shelbyville in a 2-1 district tournament battle. This year, Lincoln County is the host school for the tournament.
Senior leaders this year are Emma Summers, Heidi Durham and Maddie Pierce.
The ladies are led again by Coach Troy Smith who starts his 22nd year at the helm. He is assisted again by veteran Coach Maurice Hambrick who joined the Lady Falcon program in 2009.
Lincoln County remains part of District 8-AAA, made up of Lawrence County, Columbia, Shelbyville, Franklin County, Tullahoma and Coffee County.
