Kids Hunting for a Cure, which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, is set for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26, here in Lincoln County.
The Matt Malone Memorial Chapter Deer hunt for Fayetteville-Lincoln County is held in conjunction with the 12th Annual Juvenile Hunters Field Day.
Activities will begin Friday, Oct. 25, at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
Sign in from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and meet your hunting guide and landowner.
There will be food available.
An auction for items such as guns, apparel and hunts will begin at 6 p.m.
The following day, Saturday, Oct. 26, hunts will begin one hour before sunrise. Kids’ activities will take place from 9 until 11:30 a.m.
Lunch will be served from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m.
Additional kids’ activities take place from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m.
The hunt will continue after lunch until about one-half hour after sunset.
Deer weigh-in, awards and a concert get underway at 5 p.m.
Kids Hunting for a Cure is a non-profit organization which provides financial support to research hospitals and foundations dedicated to developing cures for cancer and childhood diseases. Monies are raised by children and adults through community-sponsored outdoor events designed for youth.
