The 15th Annual Kid’s Fishing Day will be held Saturday, June 11, at the Stone Bridge Park.
This fun-filled event is presented by The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Fayetteville Parks and Recreation and Walmart.
Kid’s Fishing Day will be held from 8 a.m. until 12 noon with registration starting at 7 a.m.
The event is for children who can hold a pole up to 12 years old. Some poles, tackle and bait will be available for kids’ use for free, but bring equipment if possible.
There will be free hot dogs and drinks, and many prizes will be given away.
Events planned are games, tagged money fish and trophies.
TWRA has stocked the Stonebridge Park pond with 2,500 pounds of catfish.
Stonebridge Park public fishing is from 6 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Seniors 65 years and older can fish June 11 after 12 p.m. with a fishing license. Seniors 65 years and older and kids 16 and under can fish June 12 with a fishing license. The public can fishing June 13 through June 26 with fishing licenses.
