Riverside Christian Academy’s Heart of RCA Benefit Dinner & Auction will be held on Saturday, April 1, at 5:30 p.m. in the RCA gymnasium.
Proceeds will benefit continued improvements at RCA.
The dinner is followed by a live auction conducted by local professional volunteer auctioneers. A few of the items collected so far for the auction include tickets and passes for the following: Disney World, Dollywood, Broadway Theatre League, Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Carriage House Players, Pigeon Forge River Rafting, Kelso Canoe Rental, Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Nashville Zoo, WonderWorks and more.
There will be autographed athletic collectibles, including a John Smoltz Braves jersey and a Cornelius Bennett Buffalo Bills throwback jersey inscribed “4X AFC Champs”.
Many other auction items include collectible porcelain and Barbie dolls, a Jack Daniel’s “Day in Lynchburg” package, various hand crafted items, certificates for restaurants, hotels, dog grooming, photography sessions, massages, salon services and more.
This year’s theme is “A Spring Knight”.
“Last year was a record crowd at 425, and we anticipate a full house this year,” said Krysa Spears, the event chair. “We’ve gained a growing number of repeat attendees. It is such a fun evening, whether you bring the whole family or make it a ‘date night’.”
Businesses or individuals have the opportunity to become event sponsors at a Gold ($500) or Silver ($300) level. Sponsors receive tickets to the dinner/auction and their business is highlighted in the program and on the school’s electronic sign at the Huntsville Highway entrance.
Tickets can be purchased from any RCA student or through the school office. Prices are $20 for adults, $10 for students and children ages four and under are free. For more information on becoming an event sponsor or to purchase tickets, call RCA at 931-438-4722.
