Lincoln Health System officials were presented with 20 American Heart Association CPR Anytime kits last week, which were awarded based on internal fundraising during the year.
These kits will be used during health fairs, community workshops and available for any local organization to train staff.
During the year, the LHS Business Development/Marketing department hosts fundraisers to raise money towards the American Heart Association and the Lincoln County Heart Walk, which is held in October each year.
“We were very excited about this opportunity because it is a way to partner with an organization that promotes healthier living and for LHS to be proactive about supplying resources that will assist with community education and training,” said Brie King, LHS director of business development/marketing.
Next year, local health leaders are working toward a goal of receiving an additional 20 Infant CPR Anytime Kits, which can be used to train parents the proper CPR technique for a small child.
