Tater & Melon Day will be held Saturday, July 26, at Boonshill Community Center. The event includes dinner and a show. The Ninth Annual Dellrose Cross Tractor Drive is set for Aug. 30. The drive will leave the Dellrose Fire Department at 9 a.m. Cost is $15 per tractor and includes one meal. Additional riders must be on a trailer or carry all. Minimum of 12 miles per hour speed and drivers must be 16-years-old to drive. Weekly Saturday night dances are held at the American Legion Post 42, 2007 Wilson Parkway, from 7-10 p.m. The dance is open to the public, and the facility is a nonsmoking building, though a smoking area is provided outside. Country Roads Band plays a mix of country, country rock and classic rock and roll music. The cover charge is $5 per person. The kitchen grill is open for the sale of sandwiches, fries and soft drinks. The American Legion is a nonprofit organization, and proceeds from the dances helps in the funding for the aide to the veterans of Lincoln County.
