Graduation season kicked off last week with Fayetteville High School’s baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies.
Events continue this week as Riverside Christian Academy, Lincoln County High School and Riverside Homeschool Umbrella Program plan ceremonies.
Riverside Christian Academy
Riverside Christian Academy’s commencement is planned for Thursday, May 18, at 7 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.
Speaker will be Billy Lambert, chairman of the board of Faulkner University. Lambert began preaching in 1962 and has preached in several communities throughout Alabama. He is currently the speaker for “Getting To Know Your Bible” television program seen nationwide on DIRECTV.
During the ceremony, addresses will be given by Valedictorian Erin Gale Whiting and Salutatorian Alissa Joyce White.
Baccalaureate was held Sunday afternoon at Washington Street Church of Christ with Travis Creasy, RCA campus minister, as speaker.
Graduation exercises at Lincoln County High School will be held Friday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Meadows-Thompson Stadium.
Valedictorian is Lukas Cole Beddingfield, and the salutatorian is Jasmine Ann Hawkins. Both will deliver speeches.
The senior class officers and the student body president will also address graduates. Officers are Aaron David Beverly, student body president; Mason Mullins, senior class president; Amanda Kaye Bowden, vice president; Kaitlyn Renee Ellis, treasurer; Cheyanne Rebecca Counts, sergeant-at-arms; and Taylor McKenzie Howell, secretary.
Area churches sponsored a baccalaureate on Sunday afternoon at LCHS.
Riverside Homeschool Umbrella Program
Riverside Homeschool Umbrella Program’s graduation is set for Saturday, May 20, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church.
Graham Stowe will be the guest speaker.
A total of 15 graduates will be awarded degrees, including three graduating with honors.
