Are you an adult who wants to get your high school equivalency or finish college?

Launch your future into the stratosphere at the Adult Education Launch Event on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 1 until 4 p.m., hosted by Fayetteville-Lincoln County Public Library.

Here’s some food for thought – adults who have a high school diploma earn $10,000.00 a year more than workers without the high school diploma. The Adult Education Launch Event is being sponsored by South Central Tennessee Reconnect and Project Learn Adult Education. There is no need to sign-up; just show up.

If you are currently looking for a job and want some help with your resume, this next class is for you. The Resume Writing Workshop is a two-part workshop to help job-seekers stand out in the job market and give you the competitive edge. Drop by the library on Thursday, Sept. 21, and Thursday, Sept, 28, at 6 p.m.

And, if you have a sweet tooth, this next event is just for you. The Library Student Advisory Board Bake Sale is Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Friends of the Library Book Sale is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon at the library. Please join Friends for the book sale.

If you are a teen, join in the Teen ARTE Class every Tuesday from 4 until 6 p.m. Upcoming Teen ARTE projects include “Recovering the Classics Book Art” on Sept. 19 and “Artwork for ARTE Fundraiser” on Sept. 26.

The library provides story time each week on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for toddlers and Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. for preschool and kindergarten-age children. Parents and children read a story, sing, dance and do art and crafts.

Do you have a tough technology question? Bring your toughest tech questions to the library on “Tech Tuesdays” every Tuesday from 1 until 4 p.m. As always, this is a free service.
