Fitness classes starting this week at Rec Center

The Fayetteville Recreation Center will host new fitness classes on Tuesday and Wednesdays.

Cindy Schrader Hill will be the instructor of the fitness classes which will begin on Jan. 8. From 5:15 until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, an aerobics class will be offered which consists of all forms of low impact and dance aerobics, including belly dancing. From 6 until 6:45 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday, a second class will be offered which consists of yoga and Pilates.

These yoga classes include all forms of basic stretch and relaxation, and the Pilates create long, lean muscles with toning moves. Both of these classes require participants to bring a yoga (sticky) mat or wear gripper socks for belly dancing and toning.

Monthly fees for these classes are as follows: one 45-minute class, $18; two 45-minute classes, $22; three 45-minute classes, $25; and four 45-minute classes, $27.
