Bargain hunters will be in full swing on Friday, Nov. 23, for the annual Black Friday shopping frenzy that traditionally follows Thanksgiving.
For those who enjoy giving handmade items and local art, the Tullahoma Fine Arts Center plans a Black Friday Art Sale from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Handmade pottery by Mulberry artist Becky Childress will be among the many items created by area artists for the event.
The center will offer lots of items starting at $20, including miniature paintings, handmade jewelry and accessories, pottery, woodwork, fused glass and much more.
During the event, TFAC members receive 20 percent off any art purchased and non-members receive 10 percent off. Everyone who stops by on Friday will receive a free ornament or t-shirt. In addition to the Black Friday items, gift certificates are also available, as well as gift memberships.
The center also offers children and adult painting classes on a regular schedule. Why not create something or have your children create something for someone on your list?
Those who pop by will also enjoy the current exhibit that features pen and ink artist Melissa Tubbs, ceramics by Larry Wilson and paintings by Clark Walker.
Also the center will host its Gold Canyon Candle fundraiser that day with 10 percent of the purchase price benefiting the TFAC.
