Save the date! Friends of the Library is sponsoring the second annual Dog Days of Summer Field Party on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Cotton Mill Preserve.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

Nashville’s Copper into Steel Band will provide musical entertainment.

Entertainment will be available for the entire family, with a children’s corner featuring a bounce house and a bounce slide open from 6 until 8 p.m.

Food will be available for purchase from vendors, such as Hazel Green BBQ and Pappy’s Porch, featuring treats such as hot dogs, Polish sausage, shaved ice and BBQ. If you prefer, bring your own cooler and picnic.

Advance tickets may be purchased for $15 at Bagley & Bagley, The Bank of Lincoln County, both Fayetteville and Park City Branches, and Carter’s Drug Store. Friends of the Library Board members also have tickets for sale. Tickets are $5 for children ages six to 12.

Tickets may also be purchased on line at 2013dogdaysparty.eventbrite.com. Tickets at the gate will be $20.

Proceeds benefit the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Library, so come out with the whole family to show your support and enjoy an evening of music, food and fun.
