Falcons’ season ends with Summit

Lincoln County High School’s Falcon football season came to an end Friday night on the road against Summit. The Spartans finished with the win, 38-0.

The Falcons finish with a 3-7 overall record and 2-4 in Region 5-5A play for a fifth place finish.

Summit takes the top spot at 6-0 in region action and 8-2 overall followed by Shelbyville at 4-2 and 5-5; Page, 4-2, 7-3 (Shelbyville defeated Page during the regular season, winning the head-to-head to clinch the second spot); Columbia, 3-3, 7-3; Lincoln County, 2-4, 3-7; Franklin County, 2-4, 5-5; and White County, 0-6, 0-10.

In first-round playoff action, Summit hosts Hillwood, Shelbyville hosts Hillsboro, Page travels to Gallatin and Columbia goes to Beech.
