LCHS won on the road over Hazel Green, then went 4-4 in the Forrest Tournament over the weekend.
The Falcons are 7-4 overall and begin district play this week.
In their final game of the tournament Saturday night, the Falcons won over Beech, 13-8.
Zach Harwell got the win, going 4 innings, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) off 4 hits, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. Chandler Hardiman worked 1 inning, giving up 3 runs off 1 hit, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Jake Pierce went 1 inning, giving up 1 run (unearned) off 3 hits and 1 strikeout. Nick Gatlin faced 1 batter with 1 walk. R. McCown faced 2 batters, finishing with 2 strikeouts.
The Falcons finished with 10 hits. Caleb Smith had a homerun and single. Riley McCown had a single and double; Brandon Gower, a triple; Brady Owens, Grady Wright, Jonathan Jacks, Jake Taylor and Zack Malone had singles.
In their first game Saturday, LCHS won over Dyer County, 6-4.
Carson Taylor got the win, going 5.2 innings, giving up 4 runs off 6 hits, 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Zach Harwell went 1 inning with 1 walk and 1 strikeout. McCown face one batter and finished with a strikeout.
The Falcons finished with 11 hits. Gower had 2 doubles and a single; Whitaker, single and double; Caleb Smith, double; Owens, 3 singles; Hudgins and Jacks had singles.
In their final game Friday night, the Falcons won over Houston High School, 12-5.
Caleb Smith got the win, giving up 3 runs (2 earned) off 2 hits, 4 walks and 18 strikeouts. Jake Taylor finished, giving up 2 runs off 1 hit, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.
LCHS had 11 hits. R. McCown had a single and triple; C. Smith, 2 doubles; Jacks, 2 singles and 1 double; Owens, 2 singles; Hudgins and J. Taylor had singles.
In their first game Friday, Lincoln County won over Dickson County, 8-2.
Zack Malone went the distance for the win, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) off 2 hits, 3 walks and 11 strikeouts.
The Falcons finished with 8 hits. C. Smith had a double; Wright and Jacks, 2 singles; Owens, Hudgins and L. Smith had singles.
Lincoln County High School won on the road over Hazel Green, 5-2, Tuesday night.
All the Falcons’ production came in the third inning, putting 5 runs on the board. The Trojans added 1 in the fourth and 1 in the fifth.
R. McCown got the start, facing 25 batters, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) off 4 hits, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. C. Taylor came in and faced 5 batters, giving up no hits off 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.
The Falcons finished with six hits. R. McCown finished with a single and double. Gower, Hudgins, Owens and Malone had singles.
Yesterday (Tuesday) Lincoln County was to host Lawrence County for the first district action of the season. Wednesday, the Falcons travel to Lawrenceburg. Thursday through Saturday, LCHS will host their Border Battle Tournament with times to be announced.
