The National Weather Service confirms that an EF-0 tornado struck Howell late last Sunday night, Nov. 17, as storms moved through the area.
According to the Weather Service, the EF-0 tornado hit the Howell area about 9:37 p.m. last Sunday.
An EF-0 tornado typically has winds from 65 to 85 m.p.h.
A storm survey conducted last week by the National Weather Service indicated that a roof was blown off a house near the 400 block of Haysland Road, that there was damage to three vehicles and a porch roof blown off.
Along March Mill Road, a carport was blown down onto a car.
