Sarah Wallace, principal at Lincoln County High School, has released information for all students enrolled at LCHS for laptop and schedule hand out.
Students at LCHS will receive schedules on Thursday, Aug. 14, in their homerooms at LCHS. That is an abbreviated school day and attendance will be counted, Wallace said.
“We are very fortunate to be able to give every student a laptop at NGA and LCHS this year,” the principal said.
“Laptops will belong to the student until the end of the year to use 24 hours at home or school.”
LCHS parents and students are welcome to pick up the laptop packet in the office of LCHS or print from the school’s website, Wallace said. Parents must read and sign the paperwork before the student is issued the laptop.
“On Thursday, Aug 14, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., we will be available in the commons area to roll out the laptops to students and parents,” she said.
“The $25 fee is for insurance purchases in case the laptop is damaged at any time.”
At 6 p.m. on that same day, Thursday, Aug. 14, school officials will have an informational meeting for parents who might need more information about the school’s laptop one-to-one initiative program for students.
“Laptops will be used more than ever before this year at LCHS,” Wallace explained. “Our teachers are excited about the use of the laptops in all classes and grades this year at NGA and LCHS.”
The school will also hand out laptops on Friday, Aug. 15, in the commons area from 1 until 4 p.m. for those who cannot get them on Thursday.
“Students who do not pick up laptops on Thursday or Friday should be prepared with paperwork and fees on Monday, Aug. 18, for laptop pick up in the library,” she noted.
