Fall Revival at Mt. Zion

Fall revival at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 305 West Maple Street, Fayetteville, will be held Sept. 28-30 at 7 p.m. each night. A different speaker is scheduled each night: Wednesday, Sept. 28, Evangelist James A. Crutchfield; Thursday, Sept. 29, Pastor Phillip Buchanan; and Friday, Sept. 30, 2nd Vice Moderator Larry B. Harris (ERDA). Everyone is welcome. Craig Carmichael is pastor.

St. Anthony’s Harvest Happening @ St. Anthony's Catholic Church

St. Anthony Catholic Church will hold its 36th Annual “Harvest Happening” event on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. This year will feature games, including corn hole, face painting, prizes, clothing and accessories, a yard sale, silent auction, books and media, a bake sale, crafts and jewelry boutique and more. The lasagna and spaghetti dinner will be available for dine-in or carry-out from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Plates are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Lunch will include hamburgers, hotdogs, polish sausage, Mexican cuisine, corn on the cob and more. Proceeds benefit local charities. St. Anthony Catholic Church is located at 1900 Huntsville Highway in Fayetteville.

Cruzin’ Downtown Fayetteville will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the square. The event will include food, vintage and antique cars, and live music.

Grilled Chicken Supper and Auction Benefit
Oct 1 @ 5:00 pm

A grilled chicken supper and auction benefit for Jackie Bryant is scheduled for Oct. 1 at the Boonshill Community Center. Jackie is a cancer patient, and the proceeds will go to living and medical expenses. The supper starts at 5 p.m., followed by the auction at 7 p.m. The event will feature live gospel and country music.

Weekly Saturday night dances
Oct 2 @ 12:00 am – 3:00 am

Weekly Saturday night dances are held at the American Legion Post 42, 2007 Wilson Pkwy., from 7-10 p.m. The dance is open to the public. The facility is a nonsmoking building, though a smoking area is provided outside. Country Roads Band plays a mix of country, country rock and classic rock and roll music. The cover charge is $6 per person. The kitchen grill is open for the sale of sandwiches, fries and soft drinks. The American Legion is a nonprofit organization, and proceeds from the dances helps in the funding for the aide to the veterans of Lincoln County.

Gospel Meeting
Oct 2 @ 9:00 am – Oct 5 @ 7:00 pm

Gospel Meeting will be held Oct. 2-5 at Washington Street church of Christ in Fayetteville with Bro. Tom Riley, of Lipscomb University, as the speaker. Sunday morning worship at 9 a.m. followed by Bible study at 10 a.m. with lunch to follow. Evening services Sunday through Wednesday begin at 7 p.m.
