      Shadow Valley Festival lineup announced

      The 20th Annual Shadow Valley Music Festival is set for July 2-4 at Shadow Valley, located at 54 Warden Road off the Shelbyville Highway.

      Tickets are $15 each at the door or $13 each in advance. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free.

      The Singing Ambassadors will appear each night. Jerry Edgil will serve as emcee.

      Other acts planned for the weekend are Jeff and Sheri Easter, Heaven’s Mountain Band, Alliance Quartet and Kent Smith Family, all appearing on Thursday, July 2, beginning at 6 p.m.; The Chuck Wagon Gang, The Kingsmen, Unity Four Quartet and The Florida Boys, all appearing Friday, July 3, starting at 6 p.m. and Doyle Lawson & Quick Silver, Cannan’s crossing, Simms Family and Compassion, all appearing Saturday, July 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

      For advance tickets by mail, contact Greg Brady at P.O. Box 179, Fayetteville, TN, 37334-0179. Please send a check or money order with a self-addressed stamped envelope.

      Tickets may also be purchased at Brady Tile & Marble, Inc., located at 54 Warden Road, or at Regions Bank, located at 302 East College Street, Fayetteville.

      The outdoor concert features plenty of shade. Please bring your lawn chairs and enjoy barbecue, hamburgers and hotdogs. Campers are welcome.

    2. Freedom Festival @ Blanche School
      2:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Blanche hosts Freedom Festival

      The Blanche community will be celebrating the Fourth of July with a Freedom Festival.

      This event begins at 2 p.m. and continues until dark.

      Admission is free, and there will be a grand prize giveaway. Activities include a dunking booth, games, train ride, obstacle course, live music, puppets, tractor show and patriotic music.

      Concessions will be available, and there will be fireworks after dark.

      Special guest speaker Wade Franks, a Vietnam veteran of Wade Franks Ministries, will kick off the patriotic program at 6:30 p.m. at Blanche School.

      Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs to this family event.

      No alcohol is allowed.

      Senior citizens’ exercise classes are currently being held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Senior Citizens Center.
