      6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Relay for Life 2016 will be held Friday, May 6, from 6 p.m. until midnight at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. There will be music, fun and food while supporting a worthy cause. The Hwy. 64 Band will perform. A Survivor Banquet, catered by Dan Holt and Shoney’s, will be held from 5-6 p.m. for survivors and their caregivers.

    7. Weekly Saturday night dances
      7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      Weekly Saturday night dances are held at the American Legion Post 42, 2007 Wilson Pkwy., from 7-10 p.m. The dance is open to the public. The facility is a nonsmoking building, though a smoking area is provided outside. Country Roads Band plays a mix of country, country rock and classic rock and roll music. The cover charge is $6 per person. The kitchen grill is open for the sale of sandwiches, fries and soft drinks. The American Legion is a nonprofit organization, and proceeds from the dances helps in the funding for the aide to the veterans of Lincoln County.
