Lincoln County Sheriff Murray Blackwelder and Fayetteville Police Chief Richard Howell are partnering to present the 2013 Citizens’ Police Academy, a series of 10 classes that will meet on Tuesdays beginning on Oct. 29.
The 10 class meetings will start at 6:30 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department on Thornton Taylor Parkway.
Subjects to be covered in the academy are domestic violence, child abuse, criminal and drug investigations, and much more, the sheriff said in the announcement last week. Participants will also tour the sheriff’s and police departments as well as the E911 Communications Center.
If you have questions or would like to attend, call the sheriff’s department at (931) 433-9821.
