“Anne of Green Gables” shares the story of the red-headed and endearingly precocious Anne Shirley, a character praised by Mark Twain as “the dearest and most moving and delightful child since the immortal Alice [in Wonderland]”.
An orphan with a vivid imagination and a tender heart, Anne is accidentally delivered to Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, a spinster and her bachelor brother who never realized how much they needed a little girl in their lives until they meet Anne.
“Anne of Green Gables” will be performed at the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Museum Theatre on Nov. 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $8 for students and can be purchased at CHP ticket outlets: Bagley & Bagley Insurance, Carter’s Drug Store and The Flower House.
