Booneville plans Vacation Bible School

Posted on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 3:06 pm

Booneville United Methodist Church will host a Family Vacation Bible School with crafts, Bible stories, songs, a puppet show, bouncy house and a free meal for the family.

The theme is “Market Place” and a local musician will provide special music.

The kick-off for the three-night event will be Sunday, July 13, at 3 p.m. On Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15, VBS will start about 5:30 p.m.

“The church folks have been working hard to plan this great event,” says Patsy Wilkes Moore, noting that there will be a Bible study for the adults, as well. “Booneville UMC invites the entire family to attend.”

Jackie Wright and George Feather are in charge of the meal preparation and Patsy Moore and Kathy Hinson will be engaging the children and youth with Bible stories, studies and other “Market Place” activities.

Booneville UMC, where the Rev. David Arrington is pastor, is a small membership church and is inviting those who are looking for a church VBS to attend, as well as those who already have a church home.

“We need to know how many will attend and how many will be eating with us each evening at 5:30,” says Moore.
