Booneville offering T’giving Day meal

Posted on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 4:00 pm

The folks at Booneville United Methodist Church in Lincoln County are getting organized again this year to invite the public to come and share Thanksgiving Day lunch together on Nov. 28 in the fellowship hall.

Bob Hinson, Sunday school teacher, is the leader of this big project for a small church. Everyone pulls together with cooking and baking for this meal to be a grand success.

David Arrington is the pastor for Booneville, Harms and Mulberry Methodist churches.

If you would like to come and have a Thanksgiving Day meal, please call Patsy Wilkes Moore at 931-308-3190 a week before Thanksgiving so that organizers can have the number of people for which they are preparing meals. If you would like to come and help fill take-out boxes for those less fortunate, please come and help around 10 a.m. on Nov. 28.

This effort is an outreach mission. The church is also taking care of families of Moore County Jail inmates.

For more information about services and the Thanksgiving meal, call the Rev. David Arrington at 931-993-6218. Contact any member about Thanksgiving Day if you want to volunteer or come to eat. The public is welcome.
