This summer Lincoln County 4-H was gifted a blueberry patch to assist in raising funds for the many trips, teams and programs that Lincoln County 4-H offers to youth in grades fourth through 12th.
Russell Farm, located at 1209 Ardmore Highway, allowed Lincoln County 4-H members to manage the patch all summer.
Four-H members opened the patch on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7:30 until 10:30 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until noon. The patch will continue to be open for U-pick at those times until Saturday, Aug. 16th.
Quarts are $4 for U-pick.
“Lincoln County 4-H would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out and picked or purchased blueberries and a special thanks to Mr. Russell for allowing Lincoln County 4-H the opportunity,” said Dan Owen, local 4-H agent.
