“We want to say thank you to everyone who made donations toward the sign,” said Principal Rickey Stafford.
According to Stafford, the school’s PTF held fundraisers and sold bricks outside the school’s front entrance to raise money for the sign. Additionally, folks in the community made donations to go toward the sign’s purchase.
“We’ve been working on this for five or six years,” Stafford said. “We’re tickled to death with it.”
Parents and community members will be able to check the sign for school activities, such as ballgames and other events.
Along with a strong PTF, the school is blessed with an active Booster Club, as well, the principal said.
“The PTF has worked so hard for this sign,” Stafford said. “The Booster Club has done so much for us too. We’re very lucky to have lots of support.”
