Bessie Parks Scholarship applications are due

The Bessie Parks memorial Scholarship is awarded by the Alpha Kappa Club of Fayetteville to graduating seniors of Lincoln County High School, Riverside Christian Academy or Fayetteville City High School or an accredited home school program. The student must be a resident of Lincoln County.

This is a four-year (eight semester) educational scholarship in the amount of $1,200 a year. The funds are dispersed in two installments, $600 in the fall and $600 in the spring, and must be used for a Tennessee state-supported, non-private colleges and universities. The student must maintain a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average for each semester (of a possible 4.0).

All applications are to be turned in to Mrs. Margie Gray on Friday Feb. 28. Home school students should call Mrs. Gray at (931) 433-2403 if they wish to get an application form and apply.
