New District Conservationist

Lincoln County Soil Conservation District Board Chairman Randy Whitehead welcomes the Mitchell Aman to the district as the new conservationist.

Mitchell Aman has recently joined the Lincoln County Soil Conservation District as the new Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) district conservationist.

“Mitchell comes to us from Wilson Soil Conservation District and Smith Soil Conservation District, where he served as a soil conservationist,” said Randy Whitehead, chairman of the Lincoln County Soil Conservation District. “The district is very happy to have Mitchell as part of the staff and look forward to working with him.

“The district and Mitchell are always promoting conservation stewardship and plan to emphasize the benefits of soil health,” Whitehead said, explaining that the change results from the former district conservationist, Meredith Crosby, receiving a transfer to the Lexington field office to be closer to her family.

“The Lincoln County Soil Conservation District holds Meredith in very high regard for her years of service with the district and wish her well in her future endeavors,” he added.

Please come by the Lincoln County Soil Conservation District office at 820 William D. Jones Blvd., Fayetteville, meet Mitchell or ask about conservation programs that provide cost-share assistance through Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Southern Middle Tennessee Resource Conservation and Development Council, Nature Conservancy, and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
