Tabs Donated

Danny Brown, owner of Park City Recycling, recently donated 35 gallons of aluminum tabs to go toward supporting the Ronald McDonald House. Pictured here are (from left) Patsy Gray, Austin Babgy, Danny Brown and Billy Gray.

Aluminum drink tabs continue to pour in for transport to the Ronald McDonald House.

After a photo appeared in The Times last month of the Highland Rim Civitan Club donating four gallons of drink tabs to Yvonne Russell, office manager of the Patrick Rehab-Wellness Center, additional donations began to come in.

“It is unbelievable how many people have come forward to donate them,” said Russell.

Danny Brown, owner of Park City Recycling, donated 35 gallons of aluminum tabs.

On hand for the donation presentation was Austin Bagby, who was joined by his grandparents, Patsy and Billy Gray. The Grays are very active in supporting Ronald McDonald House because they were very supportive to their family during Austin’s long stay in the hospital. Austin had a heart transplant on Oct. 18, 2011. He is doing well and is currently attending Motlow State Community College, pursing a career in the medical field.

Aluminum tabs are carried to the Ronald McDonald House where they will be sold to help support the functions of the Ronald McDonald House. If anyone would like to donate tabs, they are welcome to drop them off at Patrick Rehab-Wellness Center or get in touch with Billy Gray at 931-993-6836.  If you would like to make a donation to the Ronald McDonald House, you can send your contributions to Ronald McDonald House of Nashville, 2144 Fairfax Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212 or visit them online at www.rmhcnashville.com.
