Local Trap Team celebrates year of big wins

Lincoln County Trap Team had a winning year with numerous awards at regional, state and national tournaments. The team would not have been capable of participating and being so successful without wonderful volunteer coaches and generous sponsors, organizers said.   • Motlow honors program hosts inaugural Survival Run

    The Motlow College honors program will host its first annual Survival Run fundraiser on the Moore County campus Saturday, Sept. 13, according to Dr. Scott Cook, associate professor of history and honors program coordinator.   • IL’s Five-Mile Race set for Sept. 20

    The Lincoln County Horseman’s Association has added 18 new classes for miniature horses. With 101 classes for all breeds of horses, there’s something there for everyone.   • Fall co-ed league eyed

    The Adult Softball League is interested in starting up a fall co-ed league. Anyone interested in having a co-ed softball team should contact Jackie Hamlin at (931) 675-2373, Diane Hall at (931) 732-4479 or the Fayetteville Recreation Center at (931) 433-6059 by Aug. 18. The season schedule will start Aug. 25, and all games will be played on Monday nights. The entry fee is $250, which includes umpire fees.
