‘Fast, Furriest’ slated

“The Fast and The Furriest – Running For Their Lives 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk” is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, at Stonebridge Park. All proceeds generated from this event will used to support the Humane Society of Lincoln County Animal Shelter and further its efforts to reduce the number of unwanted pets in Lincoln County. Everyone is invited – young and old, runners, as well as walkers.

    Run Lincoln County will hold the annual Run for Ella at The Cotton Mill Preserve on Saturday, Sept. 13, beginning at 8 a.m. The course will be the same as in previous years with the first 2 1/2 miles the same for the 10K and 5K.     The 16th Annual McBurg Trail Ride will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21, with pull out at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Kathy and Jamie Jones.
