    2. Ninth Annual Dellrose Cross Tractor Drive (all-day) @ Dellrose Fire Department
      Aug 30

      The Ninth Annual Dellrose Cross Tractor Drive is set for Aug. 30. The drive will leave the Dellrose Fire Department at 9 a.m. Cost is $15 per tractor and includes one meal. Additional riders must be on a trailer or carry all. Minimum of 12 miles per hour speed and drivers must be 16-years-old to drive. The drive is 22 total miles, ending back at Dellrose between 2 and 3 p.m. For information, call Doug Campbell at 931-732-4935 or Scott Ellis at 931-732-4223.

      Tennessee Ornithological Society, Highland Rim Chapter, will meet Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma. The business meeting will commence at 6 p.m. with light refreshments at 6:30 p.m. and a talk at 7 p.m. by Polly Rooker, TWRA non-game biologist, on Birding in Panama.

      Swift Night Out at the Tullahoma High School parking lot, sponsored by the Highland Rim Chapter of Tennessee Ornithological Society, will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. Bring a chair and binoculars and watch chimney swifts dive by the thousands into the school’s chimney.       Vietnam Era Veterans’ monthly evening meetings will be held at Mike’s All American Diner, 1842 North Main Street, Shelbyville, on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, and will feature Donnie Porter, a member of the Vietnam Era Veterans who will present POW/MIA information.       The Imagination Library Five-Mile Race will be held at Kiwanis Park in Fayetteville on Saturday, Sept. 20. Registration is now open at www.active.com and you can print an application by going to www.runlincolncounty.com. Volunteers and sponsors are also being sought.     1. Third Annual Field Party (all-day) @ Cotton Mill Preserve on Shelbyville Highway
      Sep 27

      The Third Annual Field Party, hosted by Friends of the Library, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Cotton Mill Preserve. This end-of-the-summer, family-oriented event will help raise money for the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Public Library. “Four on the Floor” will perform. Children’s activities include face-painting and bouncy houses, as well as food for all to enjoy from food vendors on site. Cotton Mill Preserve is located at 240 Shelbyville Highway.
