    1. Trail of Tears Remembrance Walk (all-day)
      Oct 25

      Ninth Annual Trail of Tears Remembrance Walk will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. , honoring Cherokee Indians who were driven from their homelands and forced to walk to Oklahoma along Bell’s Route through Fayetteville and Lincoln County in 1838. Everyone is invited to watch or participate in this somber look back in history. The walk will begin on Adams Street at 10 a.m. and progress from there to the Lincoln County Courthouse. A living history will follow until 2 p.m. on the square.

      Humane Society Roadblock will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8 until 11 a.m. at several intersections across Fayetteville. Proceeds will benefit the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Animal Shelter.

    4. Casseroles & More @ St. Mary Magdalene Church
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Casseroles and More Sale for the Humane Society will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at St. Mary Magdalene Church. Items sell out quickly, so get there soon. Proceeds benefit the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Humane Society.

      The 29th Annual Foothills Crafts Christmas Arts & Crafts Festival will be held Friday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. This event has free parking and free admission. It will be held at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center located at 147 Hospitality Boulevard, off I-24, Exit 114, Manchester.       Vietnam Era Veterans’ monthly evening meetings will be held at Mike’s All American Diner, 1842 North Main Street, Shelbyville, on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 13, and will feature Lee Orman of Murfreesboro, Veterans Services officer.
