Summer Country Ham Breakfast at the Howell Community Center will be held Saturday, July 26, from 6 until 10:30 a.m. Breakfast is $8 for adults, $4 for children. Proceeds go towards the building fund of the community center. Howell Community Center is located at the former Howell School off Lewisburg Highway in Howell. Enjoy your breakfast in the newly air-conditioned building, one of the many improvements made at the center.
Tater & Melon Day will be held Saturday, July 26, at Boonshill Community Center. The event includes dinner and a show. Dinner will begin at 4 p.m. with barbecue chicken, baked potato, cole slaw and watermelon. The show begins at 6 p.m., with Jacob Painter, Jeff Whitlow and the Old Barn Band, and the featured entertainment Daryle Singletary performing. The Ninth Annual Dellrose Cross Tractor Drive is set for Aug. 30. The drive will leave the Dellrose Fire Department at 9 a.m. Cost is $15 per tractor and includes one meal. Additional riders must be on a trailer or carry all. Minimum of 12 miles per hour speed and drivers must be 16-years-old to drive.
