Craft show set next month at VBCC

The Northeast Alabama Craftsmen’s Association will hold its annual Spring Craft Show at the Von Braun Civic Center on March 21-22. The hours are Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday, 12 noon until 5 p.m. There is no admission fee. There are approximately 250 craftsmen participating, offering a variety of hand-crafted items. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Huntsville charities. The show is located

    Elk Valley Crafters’ 21st annual Spring Show will be held Saturday, March 14, at Lincoln County High School from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. This will be a one-day event. Admission to the show is free, with ample free parking. There will be food and drink vendors in and around the school. Exhibitors make up a wide variety of crafts and offer something for everyone.   • FCE sets special events, meetings for March

    Lincoln County’s FCE clubs, formerly known as the Home Demonstration Clubs, have special events and meeting slated for March. Dellrose Hotrock FCE has two special events coming up. On Saturday, Feb. 28, at 9 a.m., the club will be sewing lunch bags and bags for personal belongings of children that will be sent to an orphanage in Guatemala.     Lincoln County Soil Conservation District will host the 2015 Tree Day on Friday, March 6, at its offices, located at 820 William D. Jones Blvd. in Fayetteville. Free trees are available on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 8 a.m. and continuing until the trees have all been given out.  Sawtooth oak and pecan seedlings will be available.  There is a limit of one bundle of each species per person.
