CHP set to present ‘Seussical’

SeussicalCarriage House Players will kick off its 26th season with “Seussical the Musical.”

This Broadway hit is a combination on 27 much-loved Dr. Seuss stories set to music. You will see many of Dr. Seuss’s characters on stage like The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, Thing 1 and Thing 2 and many, many more.

“Seussical” will be directed by Mickey Johnson, assisted by Brandi Barnes and Jennifer Taylor. Auditions for “Seussical” will be Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Lincoln County Museum and Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Museum.

There are over 20 speaking and singing parts for all ages, eight and up. Those auditioning must go with a prepared song and sing either a cappella or with a karaoke CD. No one will be allowed to sing over a singer on a CD.

The style of the musical is lively and fun, so participants should choose their audition song accordingly.

Performance dates for “Seussical the Musical” are Feb. 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15 and 16 at the Lincoln County High School Adnia Rice Theater.
