The American Sewing Guild has received permission from the state of Tennessee to sell chances on four beautifully decorated Christmas trees during its annual fundraiser.

Prior to the Host of Christmas Past, $10 buys three tickets. When the Host begins this weekend, tickets are $5 each.

“The proceeds will go to the American Sewing Guild,” said Ken Mackay, Sir’s Fabrics owner.

“If not approached by an ASG member, you can buy tickets at Sir’s,” he said.

The trees will be on display in Sir’s warehouse.

During the Host, a bow making class will be taught in Sir’s warehouse (across the street from the fabric store), and pre-made bows will also be on sale.

The ASG is a national non-profit organization founded in 1978 to promote and preserve the sewing arts and provide a support organization for sewing enthusiasts.

ASG is a network of chapters where people representing all types and levels of needle arts come together for educational, social and philanthropic activities.

Sir’s Fabrics is located at 110 North Elk Avenue.
