The Fayetteville/Lincoln County Arts League (FLCAL) is holding an art contest for the design of first T-shirt promoting the Southern Weekend of Art event for 2013.
The deadline for the contest is midnight on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. Judging will be conducted on Jan. 23, and the winner will be notified within one week of judging.
Entries should be submitted to FLCAL c/o SWA Contest, 303 Main Avenue South, Fayetteville, TN 37334, or emailed to email@example.com.
The maximum design size, including borders, is 11 inches by 11 inches, and the maximum number of entries per person is two. The art or photography, and all parts within, must be original design by the artist.
Persons submitting entries should include their name, address, phone number and email address with each entry. Also, please make a notation if you are an Arts League member. Also, be sure to include “SWA Contest” in the mailing address or as the subject line of your email submission.
Any two-dimensional art form capable of being reproduced for printing is acceptable.
The design must have the words “2013 Southern Weekend of Art” and “Fayetteville, TN (or Tennessee)” prominently displayed somewhere in the artwork or as the border. If these words are not included in the winning entry, the artwork will be reduced, if necessary, and the words will be added as a border by the FLCAL to fit the 11-inch by 11-inch size.
Participants are asked not to submit original artwork, as the artwork will not be returned. If your artwork is chosen, you will be contacted for a high-resolution electronic image or to make arrangements for you to bring it to The Arts Center to be photographed.
By entering the contest, the winning artist agrees to grant the FLCAL and the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Arts Center the right to use their art to promote and recognize the SWA event in any form, including T-shirts, television ads, newspaper articles and ads, and on websites, Facebook and posters, with no further compensation above the $150 prize money. The artist agrees to grant the FLCAL and the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Arts Center the right to use their art to promote and recognize the SWA for the 2013 year and for an unlimited time period in the future.
Credit with copyright notice will be given to the artist each time the image is used.
The artist retains rights to their artwork for their personal promotion, but the artwork is not be used for any other form of advertising, reproduction or sales.
