Carriage House Players is in the midst of rehearsals for its next production, “Christmas Belles.”
Directed by Andrea Delap and written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, it’s the much-anticipated sequel to last year’s hit “Dearly Beloved.”
“Those sassy Futrelle sisters of Fayro, Texas, are at it again,” said Delap, the director. “It’s time for the annual church Christmas program, and the Futrelles are in charge.
“Hilarity ensues as things start to go awry. Half the cast of the program comes down with food poisoning from the Band Booster’s pancake breakfast that morning, the director of the last 27 Christmas programs keeps trying to take over, and Santa Claus is passing a kidney stone. All of this and more makes for a night of comedy you don’t want to miss.”
Performances are Nov. 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 10 and 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets, $12 for adults and $8 for students, are available at Bagley & Bagley, The Book Inn, Carter’s Drug Store, Elk River Coffee Company, The Flower House, Parks Jewelers, Regions Bank, and Sissy’s Antiques.
