Oktober Bean & Cornbread Fest is set for Saturday, Oct. 27, at Petersburg Pickin’ ‘N’ Grinnin’ Parlor, 200 South Side in Petersburg.
The festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be live bluegrass and country music. Everyone is invited to come and play, sing and have a ball.
There will be CDs for sale, a poppy and bake sale and double-elimination horseshoe pitching. Entrance fee is $5.
All proceeds from horse pitching, poppy sales and CDs will go to the Hart/Beard American Legion Post 155. Corn bread and bake sale proceeds go to the Pickin’ ‘N’ Grinnin’ Parlor.
Come out and support this great event, and if you see a vet, thank him or her for your freedom.
