42nd Annual Fish Fry held
Breezy conditions made for a challenging time during Saturday’s 42nd Annual Fish Fry, but thanks to the help of Randall Griner, (far left) gas operations superintendent at Fayetteville Public Utilities, more than 1,400 pounds of catfish and 4,000 hush puppies were cooked up for approximately 1,100 customers who weathered the wait as issues with cookers were resolved. The fundraiser is held annually by the Fayetteville Rotary Club, which this year hosted in conjunction with directors of the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Museum Association along with other friends and supporters. Also lending invaluable help was Rotarian Dan Holt (fourth from left).
