Lincoln County High School’s Lady Falcons advanced in the first round of District 8-AAA Tournament defeating Franklin County 3-1 in action last week.

The match was played at South Lincoln Middle School as the walls at the LCHS gymnasium were getting a new coat of paint during fall break.

Tuesday it was the ladies that finished on top with scores of 25-12, 25-22, 24-26 and 25-14. It seemed it was going to be a quick match with the ladies taking the first two games. LCHS was up 21-9 in the third, but the Lady Rebels got on a 3-17 run to come back for the win, taking it into a fourth game. The ladies focus improved in the fourth to finish with the win.

On Thursday LCHS traveled to Columbia to meet the undefeated Lady Lions and went down 0-3 with scores of 5-25, 12-25 and 6-25.

Lady Falcons Racheal Carroll, Savannah Brantley and Erica Hill were named to the All-District team.

Columbia met Tullahoma in the championship game and won 3-0 with scores of 25-10, 25-10 and 28-18.
