All-day activities abound during the Annual McBurg BBQ Day on Sept. 1 beginning at 11 a.m.
Food, music, a tractor ride display and beauty pageant are a few of the activities. All-day activities include a dunking booth, kids’ train ride, moon bounce, water slide, ice cream and fellowship with friends and neighbors.
Barbecue by the pound, plate or sandwich, along with hamburgers and hotdogs, will be on sale from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
At 12 noon, the Dellrose Tractor Ride display begins, followed by a Beauty Pageant for girls 0-12 and boys 0-five-years-old at 2 p.m.
Beginning at 3:30 p.m., judging of the pie and cake baking contest gets underway, along with kids’ games.
Music by Hannah and Madison Davis starts at 5 p.m. and a cake walk begins an hour later.
Gospel music is provided by The Servants at 6:30 p.m. and country music at 7:30 p.m. by Doug & Dwayne Carpenter, Cuz Clark, Elmo Mitchell and Doug Barnes.
Vendors are welcome to set up for the day for $10.
