The Elk River Band from here in Lincoln County had the privilege to play in Nashville, Thursday, June 7, during Music City’s CMA Fest.
The band is a local group of four Lincoln County High School seniors, including Casey Massey, Marina Poole, Zach Carter and Calvin Kidd.
The band played at the Just Kickin’ stage and also at the Hard Rock Café Entertainment stage. After playing at the Hard Rock stage, the band posed for pictures and signed autographs for some of their new fans.
The premiere music festival held annually in Nashville draws thousands to the downtown area. The event, formerly known as Fan Fair, is a four-day music festival that includes events for country music fans of all ages. It is also an excellent opportunity to reach potential fans and be seen and heard by industry professions. Last year’s total combined audience for the four-day event was estimated to have exceeded 250,000 people at ticketed events and in free areas.
