Flintville Music Fest Saturday
A great lineup of entertainment is scheduled to perform during the inaugural Flintville Music Festival being held in downtown Flintville on Saturday, April 28, beginning at 10 a.m.
Bluegrass, southern gospel, new country and rock bands will offer a variety of music and something for everybody to enjoy. Folks are encouraged to take their lawn chairs, blankets and quilts, kick back and listen to the entertainment throughout the day. The last band begins at 8 p.m.
Entertainers for the festival include Shane Atkins, The Good News Boys, Josh Ogle, Four Miles Gone, Dr. Mojo, The Southern Express Band and The Weather’s Family.
“This is going to be our community event,” said Capt Crethton Caldwell, of Flintville Fire/Rescue.
Lots of concessions will be served along with grilled items at lunch and dinner. Other activities include a cake auction and a moon bounce for kids.
Proceeds will benefit the Flintville Fire/Rescue and will be used to help retire equipment debt and for upkeep for the building.
Festival t-shirts and glow sticks will also be available at the festival.
The event will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, it will be held inside the fire department.
