St. Paul AME Church Young Adults will be hosting a give-away of items Saturday, Aug. 23, from 7 a.m. until noon, to clean out the parsonage as they make room for new items. Items to be given include clothes, car rims, children’s books, aquarium, school supplies, and ponytails for girls’ hair. The items are free on a first-come basis on the church’s parking lot, 521 West College, Fayetteville.

 

The Hope Assembly Missions Convention will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24, at Hope Assembly of God. Missionaries from various countries will describe their experiences of sharing the gospel. On Saturday, the event will begin at 6 p.m. and on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. Hope Assembly of God is located at 28 Deer Trace Road. Delina Church of God will host Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 24, beginning at 1:30 p.m. The singers for the event will be The Revealers. Everyone is welcome. Pastor James Trivett is pastor of the church.

 

A gospel singing at Old Gurley Pike Baptist Church will be held Sunday, Aug. 31, at 1:30 p.m. Denise Hopkins-Jaco of Toney, Ala., is the featured singer. The church is located at 726 Old Gurley Pike, Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.

 

A gospel singing, featuring Denise Hopkins-Jaco of Toney, Ala., will be held at Parks City Baptist Church on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. Parks City Baptist Church is located at 2863 Huntsville Highway.

 

“A Call to Pray” is hosted by Fayetteville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 11:30 a.m. each Tuesday and 6 p.m. each Wednesday. You are invited to take your pick of a mid-day prayer meeting, an evening prayer service or both. Dr. Theodore Brown is pastor. The church is located at William D. Jones Boulevard.

 

John Long Noonday Bible Ministry is being held each Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church at 521 West College St. This Bible Study is open to everyone but especially to those who are unable to attend an evening Bible Study.  If you work at night, unable to drive at night, or if your church doesn’t hold Bible Study, etc., members invite you to join them each Wednesday as they study the Word of God.
