First Annual Home School Convention set

The First Annual Lincoln County Home School Convention will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Riverside Christian Academy.

This event is open to all families in Lincoln County who home school or are considering home schooling.

The convention will focus on highlighting resources for families in Lincoln County. Topics covered will include Beginning Homeschooling, Curriculum Recommendations, Home Schooling Through High School, Dual Enrollment, Art & Music & Sewing Lessons, Learning Styles & Difficulties, Using the Tennessee Electronic Library and more.

There will be representatives from Sirs Fabrics, Motlow College, Fayetteville-Lincoln County Public Library, Lincoln County 4-H, Enrichment Fellowship, Creative Learning Connection, Civil Air Patrol and others.

Admission is only $1 per person or $5 per family. Concessions will be available for lunch.
