Paul David Caldwell, infant son of Joshua and Halley Caldwell, died Saturday (Aug. 9, 2014). In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Solomon. Inez Wilson Chapman, 97, of the Boonshill community, passed away Sunday (Aug. 10, 2014) at her residence. A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John Lee and Josephine Erwin Smith. Mrs. Chapman was a homemaker and worked for Lincoln County Hospital in the x-ray department for many years. She was a member of the Cyruston Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Wilson McBride of the Boonshill Community; one son, Dwight (Diane) Wilson of the Boonshill Community; grandchildren, Anna Hovis, Laura Nelson, Whitney Raver and Courtney Wimmer; nine great- grandchildren; brother, Russell (Joyce) Smith of Bethesda Community; sister, Martha (Joe) Jo Petty of Mt. Juliet; daughter-in-law, Linda Wilson of Indianapolis, Ind. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Wilson; sister, Addie Wood Martin; and husbands, James Murphy Wilson, Hayden Hastings and Earl Chapman. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at Higgins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Clinton Victor Cloud, 27, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2014) at Lincoln Medical Center. He was a native of Madison County, Ala., and the son of Connie Cloud King and husband, Jim, who survives. He was employed by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals Lead Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Mary Cloud of Fayetteville; son, Chase Matthew Cloud; two daughters, Caitlyn Elizabeth Cloud and Cara Grace Cloud, all of Fayetteville; brother, David Byers of Fayetteville; sister, Bobbie Jo Dyer; and niece, Autumn Dyer, both of Boaz, Ala. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ed “Bud” Cloud, and nephew, Mason Dyer. Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at Higgins Funeral Home with Tony Moses officiating. Edythe Marie (Sponaugle) Facemire, 93, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday (Aug. 7, 2014) at Donalson Care Center. A native of Braxton County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Perry Raymond and Luthenia Grace Cutlip Sponaugle. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Mrs. Facemire was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2167 and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 42. Survivors include her children, Carol J. (Tom) Madsen, Sandra P. (Leslie) Law, Jackie L. (Donald) Gill and Donald L. (Cathy) Facemire; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Montie Adrian Facemire, who passed away in 2007. Graveside services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Charles Larry Hemphill, 68, of Athens, Ala., died Sunday (Aug. 10, 2014) at his home. Glenn “Cubie” Holder, 79, of Flintville, died Tuesday evening (Aug. 5, 2014) at his residence. Mr. Holder was a member of Hazel Green Church of God of Prophecy. He was a retired auto mechanic. Mr. Holder was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Holder; his parents, Walter and Flossie Holder; two sisters, Gladys Vaughn and Josephine Belado; and two brothers, Fred Holder and William Holder. Mr. Holder is survived by his wife, Lela Smith Holder; a son, Randy (Crow) Holder (Nancy); a daughter, Deborah (Dottie) Hughes (Keith); step-son, Tony Wharton; step-daughters, Pat Buchanan, Teresa Javins (Mark), Felicia Barbour (Roger); a brother, Grady Holder; two sisters, Edna Parpocki and Patricia Street; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Roger “Crow” Dale Honey, 65, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday evening (Aug. 8, 2014) in Lincoln Medical Center. A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Robert Carroll and Mary Jane Smith Honey. Mr. Honey was a 1968 graduate of Central High School and was a charter member of the Machinist Union Local Lodge 2385. He was an Atlanta Braves and Falcons fan. He was a former member of the Huntsville and Fayetteville Bowling Leagues. Survivors include his daughter, Leanne Honey-Caldwell; sons, Justin Honey and Chris Honey, all of Fayetteville; brother, Carroll Davis Honey and his wife, Pam, of Mt. Pleasant; and grandchildren, Bethany Honey, Steven Land, Stephany Land; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home. Ina Rae Jacks, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday (Aug. 7, 2014) at Huntsville Hospital. She was born in New Market, Ala., on Dec. 28, 1942 to the late H.O. and Christine Harmening Speck. She was a retired school teacher who served 46 years as an educator, was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church and was an active member of the Friends of the Library and the Junior Round Dozen Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Richie Jacks, and her brother, Dean Harmening. Mrs. Jacks is survived by her husband, Wayne B. Jacks of Arab, Ala.; daughters, Beth and Benton Barnes of Fayetteville, Katherine and Roger Haydel of Huntsville, Ala.; son, Jon and Stacy Jacks of Fayetteville; sisters, Susan Blaylock of Fayetteville, Barbara O’Linger of Hampton, Ga.; brother, H.O. (Pete) and Brenda Speck of Flintville; sister-in-law, Sandy Harmening of Satsuma, Ala.; grandchildren, Hannah Jacobs, Blair Jacks, Jonathan Jacks, Sarah Jacks, Grace Barnes; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Della R. Loper, 69, of Meridianville, Ala., passed away Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2014) at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1945 in Scott County, Miss., to the late Ace and Christine Patton Dickerson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Huntland Pentecostal Church of Jesus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Matthews, and brother, Charles Dickerson. Mrs. Loper is survived by her daughters, Tonya and Jamie Lambert of Columbia, Miss., and Penny and Dewayne Hastings of Meridianville; son, Scottie Loper of Jackson, Miss.; sisters, Neda Thrash, Rebecca Viverette, Peggy Busby, Audrey Goss, Mary Davidson and Mavis Griffin; brothers, Dave Dickerson, Bob Dickerson and Roy Dickerson; grandchildren, Cody Lambert, Caleigh Lambert, Nathan Hastings, Luke Hastings and Teresa Loper; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Loper, Hailee Loper and Savannah Bennett. Janet Woolridge Lynn, 55, of Galveston, Texas, passed away Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 6, 2014) at UTMB Hospital, Galveston, with her friends at her bedside after prolonged illness. She was born on Dec. 17, 1958 in Starkville, Miss. She was raised in Fayetteville, where she graduated high school in 1976. She was in the banking industry until she became a full-time mother to twin girls. Janet was preceded in death by her father, Lenwood Carr Woolridge; her mother, Peggy Templeton Woolridge; and her sister, Pamala Sullivan. Her survivors include her twin daughters, Victoria Elizabeth Lynn of Kissimmee, Fla., and Ruth Whitney Alvarado and husband, Alvaro, of Glennville, Ga.; her brother, Lee Woolridge and wife, Marsha, of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews, Jody Woolridge, Patricia Woolridge, Melissa Woolridge, Stacy Sullivan, Lynsey Sullivan Parker; aunt, Linda T. Denson and husband, Johnny Denson, of League City; aunt, Kathy Anderson and husband, Larry, of Tupelo, Miss.; cousin, Richard and wife, Linda M. Denson, of Galveston; one grandchild, Bryant Ellis Lynn; her beloved dog, Sweetie; and many other loving family members. Special thanks to her caregivers, Alan, Drew and Clinton. Ernestine McMillin, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday (Aug. 9, 2014) at Lincoln Medical Center. A homemaker and lifelong Lincoln County resident, Mrs. McMillin was preceded in death by her son, Jeff McMillin: parents, John M. and Dillia Milliken; sisters, Pauline Dollar and Mary Etta Lackey; and brother, John Robert Milliken. Peggy Patterson, 57, of Fayetteville, died Monday (Aug. 4, 2014) at her residence. She was born on Oct. 30, 1956 in Lincoln County to the late Eular Ray and Louise Milstead Patterson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Buckeye Baptist Church. Miss Patterson is survived by her sisters, Rachel Young, Marjorie Wheeler and Beverly Sisk, all of Fayetteville, and Faye Barnett of Lewisburg, and brothers, Jackie Patterson and Mark Patterson, both of Fayetteville. Larry Randall Snoddy, 64, of Elora, passed from this life on Saturday (Aug. 9, 2014) at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Winchester. He was born Nov. 8, 1949 in Kelso, the son of the late Robert and Pauline (Benson) Snoddy. He was employed by Goodman Corporation. Surviving is brother, Robert “Jake” (Emily) Snoddy of Huntland. Emma Anis Vann, 90, of Huntland, entered this life July 21, 1924 and departed this life on Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2014). She was a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents, William Robert McClure and Bell Roberts McClure; husband, Homer Vann; son, Gary Mack Vann; and great-grandchild, Colby Stewman. Survivors include her sons, Oliver (Jean) Vann of Decherd, Alva (Virginia) Vann of Huntland, Claudie (Janis) Vann of Huntland, Doyle (Pam) Vann of Decherd, Carlton (Carolyn) Vann of Huntland; daughters, Ruth (Joe) Mitchell of Ardmore, Ala., and Betty (Joe) Dixon of Ardmore; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Bobby Whitt, 76, of Kelso, passed away Saturday (July 26, 2014) at Lincoln Medical Center. He was born on March 25, 1938 in Madison County, Ala., to the late Jim E. and Lillie Hobbs Whitt. He worked as a carpenter. Mr. Whitt is survived by his sisters, Peggy and Billy Ray McPherson of Huntland, Mary and Rex Porter of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers, Gene and Martha Whitt of Fayetteville and Gary and Janie Whitt of Athens, Ala.; former wife and dearest friend, Ida Whitt and family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
