Annual Country Ham Breakfast at the Charles Gleghorn Community Center will be held Saturday, July 19, from 6 until 10 a.m. A donation of $7 is asked. The event is sponsored by Mary’s Chapel AME Church. The Rev. Ernest M. Latham is pastor.

Homecoming at Gum Springs Baptist Church will be held Sunday, July 20, at 1:30 p.m. Denise Hopkins-Jaco of Toney, Ala., will be the featured singer. The church is located at 22 Gum Springs Baptist Church Road in Flintville, just off Highway 64.

The 142nd anniversary of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrated on Friday, July 25, through Sunday, July 27. The celebration kicks off on Friday at 6 p.m. Pastor Vanessa Holman is the speaker for the evening. Continuing on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. is Pastor Arne Hill. The event will conclude on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. with Bro. Quentin Bailey as speaker. As always, everyone is welcome. Mount Zion is located at 305 West Maple Street. Craig Carmichael is pastor.
A gospel meeting will be held at the Mimosa Church of Christ, 436 Mimosa Road, on July 27-30. Bro. Chris Jones of Prattville, Ala., a former minister of the Mimosa Church, is the featured speaker. Services on Sunday, July 27, will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Bible study and morning service at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall following the morning service. The Sunday evening service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Services on Monday through Wednesday evenings will begin at 7 p.m. There will be an ice cream social in the fellowship hall following the Wednesday evening service. Everyone is invited to attend any and all services.
Sanctified Homecoming and Pastoral Anniversary at Market Street Church of God will be observed on Sunday, July 27, at 3 p.m. The church is located at 522 West Market Street. The guest speaker is Elder Eric Satterfield from East 8th Street Church of God in Columbia. Phil Ford and The Singing Disciples from Huntsville and The New Gospel Spirituals from Pulaski are the featured musical guests. Everyone is invited to come and hear the anointed Word.
John Long Noonday Bible Ministry is being held each Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church at 521 West College St. This Bible Study is open to everyone but especially to those who are unable to attend an evening Bible Study. If you work at night, unable to drive at night, or if your church doesn’t hold Bible Study, etc., members invite you to join them each Wednesday as they study the Word of God. Rev.
