Reese wins state trapshooting title
Lincoln County’s Jerry Stephen Reese brought home a state title and other awards during the State Trapshooting Championships in Nashville on June 10-15.
Shooting with the Giles County 4-H team in the AIM State Championship, Reese and his team won second place Sub. Junior. Individually, Reese won first place handicap Sub. Junior Class B.
Shooting individually in the ATA State Championships, he won Sub. Junior, runner-up doubles; Sub. Junior runner-up handicap; Sub. Junior runner-up high all around; Sub. Junior runner-up high overall.
On Sunday, June 15, Reese won state champion in handicap with a perfect score of 100.
Jerry Stephen will be a sophomore at Lincoln County High School in the fall.
