Teen Reading Program begins

Fayetteville-Lincoln County Public Library’s Teen Summer Reading Program begins in July.

Ages 10 and up may participate.

Spark a Reaction Week One begins with movie night on July 8 with “Back to the Future” at 6 p.m. On July 10 at 10 a.m., Riverside Christian Academy’s Robotics Team will be at the library to show kids the science behind robots.

On July 12, kids will learn Survival Skills at 10 a.m. Learn how to survive dire circumstances — Zombies, The Arena, Mind Control, Microchips and more!

Week Two begins with Movie Night on July 15 at 6 p.m.

On July 17, it’s the Science of Photography at 1 p.m.

“We will use Cyano-type photo developing using sunlight to process photographs,” says Jillian Rael, library director.

On July 19, it’s Magnets at 10 a.m. UAH Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research will be at the library for some hands-on lessons about magnets and the science behind them.
